Coronado and Fam

Yay for more family visits! This time my parents, sister, brother-in-law, and niece are joining me.
Obviously we had to start out with some delicious food-- so after they picked me up from my apartment we headed straight to Earl of Sandwich
(Thai wrap is my new favorite, it's perfection)

Chilling downtown

Legos at their finest

We then left downtown and headed over to Coronado Springs.

Officially checked-in and rocking our Magic bands

The room is perfect.

The girls :)

The resort is seriously SO pretty!!

And just look at the pool

I mean come on...there's even a dragon slide!!!!!!

I'll end with a picture of my momma...sure have missed her

To be continued...

Blizzard Beach!

Blizzard Beach is back and better than ever! (Not that I would know...yesterday was actually my first day ever, but I assume that's the case). I think I have gone to Typhoon Lagoon 5 times, and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, but now that I've tried Blizzard, I don't know if it will ever be the same

But be warned, the park is so confusing! Everywhere you look you see sleighs and icicles...but you're walking around in your bathing suit! It messes with your head

There are a TON of fun slides, but, more importantly, there are pail sundaes!

Me and Amber thought about sharing, but then we decided, ehhh, the pails don't actually look THAT big (even when we had a lady behind us talking to her daughter about "how ridiculous the sundae was" and "how could anyone order that for just one person" and "seriously, that's enough for a whole family!")

So. Much. Ice cream.
Seriously, it's very good, and I'd highly recommend getting one, but please do yourself a favor and split it with like...3-5 other people

After a lot of sun, slides, swimming, and slurping melted ice cream, we decided to visit the vista way library. Haha, very random, but also super convenient! They have a ton of movies available

And board games too!

We went with Jenga
(Yes, you should definitely be impressed by our mad skills)

Then we got super fancy and made Mexican food

Thanks Amber, Natalie, and Jamie for making my day magical :)

Parade and FOOOOD!!!!

I finally got to check out Festival of Fantasy, the brand new parade that started this week, and I love it :)

Here are a few of my favorite parts

They were waving at ME!!!

That's Flynn in the background :) :)

And of course I love the fire breathing dragon...who wouldn't??

Then I met up with Kali and Meg at Epcot for the Flower and Garden festival :)

We made a pit stop to see Mary Poppins in England

THEN the food began :D

In Morocco I tried:
  • Lamb brewat roll with prunes and sesame
Sounds kind of gross...and doesn't look that great...but it was AMAZING!! Seriously, one of the best things I've had in a while

  • Baghrir – Moroccan pancake with honey, almonds and argan oil
Eh, pretty much tasted like a pancake.

France:
I didn't personally buy anything, but I WAS able to try a bite of the orange macaron and it was quite tasty

China:
  • Spring pancake with grilled chicken and green apple
China DEFINITELY knows how to make a pancake taco! This was so light and scrumptious!!

  • Beijing-style candied strawberries
What?? Who knew these existed?! But actually, the better question is: where have they been all my life because they are perfection on a stick!!

Unfortunately, the food adventures had to come to an end due to limited funds...but no worries, I'll be back :)

Oh, I guess I should include a picture of a plant? Yay for Monster gardens :)

We ended our night by checking out the Irish festival going on at Downtown Disney.

Which means we walked through, tried on green masks....

listened to the lovely Irish band...

and ate dinner at Earl of Sandwich! haha (the Baja chicken wrap isn't anything to scoff at btw)

P.S. If you have kids OR if you're an adult and bored, I would highly recommend doing Kidcot! You get Duffy, color him, take him around the world with you, and get artwork representing each country you go to
It was a lot of fun talking to all of the countries' representatives and you get a super cute souvenir to take home with you too! (And really, if Disney does something for free, you've gotta take advantage of it, haha)

SO MANY VISITORS!

YAY FOR VISITORS!!! These past two weeks have been jam packed and, while I am exhausted, I feel very loved :)

First Baillie (the cuz) and Ginger came into town for a school trip :) I was able to meet up with them in Universal

And in Magic Kingdom :)

Then Erin (the sist'a) and family made the trek to Orlando!

We stayed at Art of Animation

And went to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios

Our day at Magic Kingdom was...well...very wet. We woke up to rain, and it lasted til the early afternoon. We made it work though, haha

And it did wonders to the lines--we didn't have to wait long for anything!

Samantha was pretty excited to meet the princesses
Elijah got his first haircut

Jeremy got pixie dusted

We also enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Crystal Palace (all you can eat buffet and you get to meet all the Winnie the Pooh characters!)

A lot of calories were consumed there...

We definitely got a lot accomplished in our day at Magic Kingdom (but not without a few naps, haha)

We did a lot at Hollywood studios too!

Including: stage makeup

The beautiful princess

and ferocious tiger

Saw Beauty and the Beast

Met Mike and Sully
 Rode Tower of Terror

And a lot more...I just don't have much photographic evidence for it!

Overall, it was a quick but fabulous trip :) super glad they could come visit!!

So, the family left Friday night and then, right after work on Saturday, I picked up the biffles from the train station!!

So far we've gone swimming

Celebrated Kassia's twentieth birthday

And today we went to Islands of Adventure
(I promise Kassia was excited to be there..)

We took super hot carousel selfies

And got soaked on rides!

Good times were had by all :)

AHHH, SO many visits from so many of my favorite people, it's been wonderful! Wednesday is the last day of fabulousness though and I'm not quite sure what I'll do with myself :-/

P.S. If you aren't too busy, come visit me...I'm about to be lonely and I'd greatly appreciate the company!
